A travel website redesign, from WordPress to Astro

Be In India runs small-group journeys through India, with never more than sixteen guests. We built its first website in WordPress and Elementor, and then redesigned it from the ground up as a hand-coded Astro site.

The new home page leads with a place picker: choose Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Kerala or another stop and the hero changes to show it. Journeys, departure dates, reviews, travel guides and common questions follow in a calm order, so a first-time visitor to India can decide with confidence. It is the kind of travel and tour operator website we build.

The client

Be In India plans small-group and private journeys through India for travellers from around the world, with never more than sixteen guests on a trip. Its first route, the Royal Passage, is an eleven-day tour from Delhi through Agra, Jaipur and Jodhpur to Udaipur, with more journeys in planning.

The brief

We built Be In India's first site in WordPress. It got the company online, but every journey on it still read as coming soon, and the design did not yet feel like the trips themselves. The redesign had to show real departures, earn the trust of people planning their first trip to India, and be quick on any connection.

What we built

A hero you can explore

The opening screen shows eight places, from Kanchenjunga to Rishikesh. Visitors pick one to change the picture and caption, or pause the slideshow.

Journeys with real dates

The Royal Passage lists its 2027 departures, length and group size, while journeys still in planning let visitors ask to hear when they open.

Trust before the booking

Tripadvisor reviews, the reasons to travel with the company and answers to common questions about visas, safety and seasons sit on the home page.

A journal for search

Practical guides on safety, the best time to visit and the Golden Triangle answer what travellers search for before they book, with named authors.

The result

Be In India has a website that matches the trips it runs: carefully planned, calm and clear, with real departures and guides that help first-time visitors to India feel ready to book. The redesign is on staging ahead of launch.
