A Shopify website for a sustainable fashion service
Black Fridye, by Citizen Wolf, dyes worn clothes black so they last longer. Selling a service on Shopify takes more explaining than selling a product, so the site sets out which garments qualify, how the process works and why it matters, before the customer orders.
Services are listed by garment type, like products, so ordering takes a few clear steps. Bold type and a playful voice give the campaign its own identity. It shows how a Shopify store can sell services, not just goods.

Black Fridye is a sustainable fashion initiative by Citizen Wolf. Instead of buying new, customers send in faded or unloved clothes to be dyed black, giving them a longer life and cutting the waste of new production.
The brief
Selling a service is harder than selling a product. Visitors had to understand which garments qualify, how the process works and why it matters for the planet, then be able to order in a few clear steps.
What we built
Services sold like products
The overdyeing service is organised by garment type, such as tops, bottoms, jackets and dresses, so customers can pick exactly what they are sending.
The why, told simply
Clear messaging explains how refreshing existing clothes reduces the need for new ones, with the water and carbon savings that come with it.
Process and questions answered
How it works, what is eligible and common questions are laid out in order, so visitors can decide without contacting support.
A distinctive brand
Bold type and a playful voice give the campaign its own identity while staying easy to read and use.

The result
Black Fridye has a site that makes a new idea easy to understand and easy to order, turning a sustainability message into a working service.
We're selling a service, not a product, so we weren't sure Shopify would work for us. Shaurya set it up so people just pick what they're sending in, like they would in any shop. Simple for customers, simple for us.
